My Top5 pieces of clothing. Sneakers, jeans, merino wool and jackets.

As you know my channel is predominantly about bags, edc and traveling. But I never actually covered the stuff that is on me almost every single day. Here are my top5 favorite pieces of clothing.

As you might know from my „How I make a buying decision“ video: Rather than just looking at the pros, I like to evaluate the cons or flaws of an item and then evaluate if I can live with them. That is why in my video reviews I concentrate more on the cons of an item rather than going over all the features. Therefore everything shown is just a fraction of all the points that go into the verdict and score of an item.

A Quicklook usually covers pre-production units or items that I only used for a short period of time. While Reviews cover final items that I have reviewed intensively.

For all my videos I decided not to include links for the products. Everyone is living in different countries and therefore has to deal with different shipping and customs fees. That is why I would advice everyone just to Google the product within their country to find the best deals.
For instance: I live in Germany, It wouldn’t make sense to give you a German link while you might be living in USA or Asia. I hope that is understandable.

This video is not sponsored. While I sometimes get bags for free, I usually have to pay custom fees and in addition to that all my videos have lots of production costs. Therefore I invest my own money into all of these video and have no intention to be biased towards a product or company. All opinions in this video are my own unless stated otherwise.

  1. I love Outlier, COS and Uniqlo personally.

  2. Got same nano puff jacket and I love it. In deep winter I pair it with a Patagonia down sweater hoodie and shell if needed and it is bomb proof 🤟🏼

  3. You would look good in anything or nothing…..you are just so cute

  4. For jeans, I really like the Levis 541 Athletic cut – they fit my body type perfectly and have a nice amount of stretch built into them to movement easy. Trew also makes a great merino t-shirt. For shoes (especially for daily use or for travel), I really like the All Birds wool runners. They're very lightweight and comfortable and look nice enough to wear with a variety of outfits.

  5. Uniqlo ultralight down in place of the Patagonia nano puff

  6. It's the Trakke Carryology collaboration piece.

  7. Cool set up. You missed the hats/caps.

  8. So, when will you visit Indonesia Bo?

  9. Thanks for sharing – look forward to the merino wool shirt reviews. For pants, current rotation includes Duer No Sweat pants and Mugsy jeans (thought they were a bit gimmicky at first but bought a few and the stretch is great).

  10. Thanks mate. Love your videos btw. Keep up the great work!!

  11. I can't wear wool, I normally wear cotton t shirts for normal day to day wear, but I recently found a t shirt on Amazon not sure if they sell it in Europe but the T-shirts are made by Hanes and they are called X temp and are made of synthetics and they feel great And they can be washed in a sink and hung up to dry. Since I live in Southern California honestly I mostly wear shorts except for business meetings, I do wear shorts on my motorcycle BUT I have motorcycle over pants for when I ride. I'm partial to Vans Shoes, I got three pair, two of Skater shoes and a pair high tops with UltraCush they are very lightweight and comfortable but for me don't last long as your Nikes I do a lot of walking and I can wear out a pair in 4-5 months. My favorite jeans are made by a company called Lee I also wear Wrangler and Dickies brand pants as well.
Jackets I got several depending on climate and purpose, I have a Cortech Motorcycle Jacket vented and with a liner, for off the bike I have a Gortex Hoodie lightweight forgot the brand, a cotton Hoodie with a Harley-Davidson design on it, I like to wear those jackets called shells that are made for hiking they work great as a windbreaker and for when I'm in a City that is by the ocean for wearing in the evening when the temps drop and the fog-marine layer rolls it keeps you dry and warm.
I just try to adapt to the weather by keeping several lightweight layers around instead of one big layer motorcycle jacket excepted of course If I ride my motorcycle on a business trip most times I park the bike for a day or two and change into shorts, t shirt and bring along one of the shells In the city I can use uber-lyft and use the train-bus and If I'm lucky they got rental bicycles 🙂 or a lot of the time I walk. I'm usually only a few blocks from where I'm working.
I also find I learn and see more by walking I found a great restaurant for breakfast one time that way enough rambling.
As my UK friends say Cheers.
Edit the jacket I have is made by a company called Pantagonia.

  12. In the States we pronounce it Lee-Vys not Le-Vs. And I have never heard of Merino Wool until now, looking at some of the Western Rise prices, DAMN $100 for the StrongCore Pocket shirt. I'm tempted, but jeez I'd only have 1 arm to use that shirt in… xD great vid

  13. Hey Bo Ismono, love the videos and your post and wanted to suggest you check out Huckberry.com. They have great EDC and clothing, there brand Flint and Tinder is amazing stuff. I’m 5’5 to 5’6 at 125lbs and the small size fits really well. The EDC they carry is great as well just lots of cool stuff for guys and most of it’s USA made. Take Care.

  14. When traveling, do you like to bring a separate hooded rain jacket or just an umbrella?

  15. hey bo, great video. heres some of what ive had exceptional experience with. 1. moto jacket – aether "rally" (lifetime warranty, d30 armor, sharp styling) 2. merino shirt – arc'teryx a2b t shirt (lifetime warranty, v-neck or crew styles, good for hot weather) 3. also a big fan of the nano puff jacket, going on 6 years (lifetime warranty) 4. patagonia – merino air base layers (lifetime warranty) 5. banana republic – traveler pants (stay black dye to rests fading, correct amount of stretch) – cheers via oak, cal

  16. Fun drinking game; take a shot every time Bo says furthermore. For real tho, love this channel Bo. I found your channel two years ago looking while preparing for an overseas trip and was an instant subscriber.

  17. Kennst du auch gute Merino Shirts mit V-Neck?

  18. I find my Olivers t-shirt to be of a really high quality compared to my others. I have quite a few, and the only one which I like as much is by Proof.

  19. Great video as usual Bo ! I’m also into merino wool for traveling. The only issue with those t shirts is if you have babies, they won’t last long. Baby nails are a mass destruction weapon on merino wool 😂.
I use Vans old skool in full black almost everyday as my pair of shoes.
My favorite pants for travelling is the Bluffworks Chino, but I hope one day I’ll try the slim dungarees which seems to be awesome.

I think the bag hidden behind the pixelated area is the new collaboration of Carryology with a Brand ( Trakke? ). I can’t wait to see it !

  20. Moin Bo. Cooles Video, mag den Track des Intros. Kannst Du mir bitte Deine aktuelle Bagliste schicken? Email Adresse hast Du hoffentlich noch. Gruß Bjoern

  21. God damn it i was waiting for you to talk about your motorcycle jacket !

  22. Bo, where can you get Outliers in Germany? Or did you order them directly from the US?

  23. my favourites: Schott blue top leather bomber jacket from sample sale. USD75!! (insane price!!!), Oakley sunglasses for style, size (I have a huge head), price and polarized lenses, GShock watch, Dr. Martens boots (lifespan: 3 years and counting…). Tops, usually cotton T shirts… anything in black.

  24. Hey Bo, any thoughts on these self-cleaning bags? Sound like a lot of add-ons to inflate price but still a cool feature. Thanks.:https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/278836624/transforma-x-the-worlds-first-self-cleaning-travel

  26. Great outfit, man! In Brazil we say "Laves" (Levi's)

  27. The Slim Dungarees are horrible. I’ve owned two pairs and they developed pulls pretty quickly on the upper legs. The Futureworks are, in my experience, far more durable.

  28. Please add the mulesing or better the mulesing free topic to your merino video.

  29. Solid pronunciation for the most part! Dungaree is just an outdated word for denim pants and not really one that people encounter in modern language. And most people pronounce Nike as Nye-kee. At least they do in my neck of the woods…

  30. What is the title of the song in the beginning??

  31. Great video, Merino/Tencel combo is realy great for summer time ! Watch Seagale (French Brand) for the same type of Tee. 🙂
